Miriam Groom, BComm., M.Psych., R.N.T.

CEO & Founder | Organizational & Career Therapist | Human Behaviour Specialist

"I’m Miriam Groom, Founder of Mindful Career. My mission is simple and deeply personal: to help people uncover the career that truly fits who they are, psychologically, emotionally, and professionally.

My journey began more than a decade ago, when I found myself burned out despite having “the perfect career” on paper. Every resource I turned to offered surface-level advice that never went deep enough. No one could help me understand the real issue: why my work felt misaligned with my mind, nervous system, strengths, and personality.

So I built what I needed, and what thousands of others have needed since.

I trained in organizational psychology and psychometrics, completed my master’s in psychology, and layered it with two decades of industry experience: first as Vice President at one of Canada’s leading recruitment firms, then as Executive Director within KPMG’s Human Capital Advisory practice. Today, I continue to consult with KPMG as an advisor on organizational psychology and human capital strategy.

This rare blend of psychology, behavioural science, recruitment, human capital, and labour-market expertise became the foundation of the Mindful Career methodology. With additional training as a naturotherapist, my work integrates the full spectrum of human experience — mind, motivation, emotional patterns, cognitive processing, nervous system responses, and overall well-being. Because career alignment isn’t only cognitive; it’s physiological and emotional too.

Over 10,000 people have transformed their careers and lives through our award-winning frameworks, now recognized across North America and featured in Forbes, NBC, CTV News, and Harvard Business Review.

If you’re feeling lost, stuck, or disconnected from your path, I’ve been there. You don’t have to figure it out alone, our team is here to help you find the career and life that finally feel aligned.
